The story behind the camera
It all started when my mom handed me a disposable camera for a school field trip to the Statue of Liberty. I was a kid with no idea what I was doing—just wildly snapping away at friends, boats, and probably the back of someone’s head. But when those photos came back? I was hooked.
Fast forward to college move-in day, and my mom passed down her old Pentax k1000 film camera. That’s when it really clicked (pun fully intended). I fell hard for film—the grain, the slowness, the way it made me pay attention. I studied photography & art history in Philly and earned my fine arts degree spending way too many hours in darkrooms and falling deeper in love with storytelling through images.
Eventually, I found my way to Austin and into a full-time role at Thinkery, the city’s children’s museum, where I get to capture the messy, joyful, everyday moments that unfold around curious kids and families. It reminded me just how much I love photographing real, meaningful moments.
That love turned into something more when my best friend asked me to shoot her wedding. (Cue nerves and lots of happy tears.) That one “yes” led to more: friends getting engaged, coworkers growing their families, other nonprofits doing incredible things and suddenly, I had a little side gig built entirely on word of mouth and people I genuinely care about.
Now, I photograph all kinds of moments, big and small, for people who want photos that feel honest, artful, and full of heart. Think of me as your bestie with a camera, here to help you look good, feel comfortable, and walk away with photos you’ll actually love.
Courage
Strength
Understanding
Love
My photography style is all about capturing courage, strength, understanding, and love—those real, raw moments that make life worth remembering. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to shoot everything from mouth-watering food to heartfelt weddings and stylish portraits.
One of my favorite things is seeing my photos turned into books on coffee tables, framed pictures in friends’ homes, magazines, and even on a bus. It’s a wild, wonderful reminder of why I love doing this.
